Hand in hand with the above is the news that Prime 4 now has two new four-channel waveform views, an essential addition for use with the LC Prime decks. The two new views are necessary because users of the LCs with, say, the SC Prime media players of course have two screens, unlike the one screen on the Prime 4. But now there are two new views that combine all four waveforms either horizontally or vertically on the single Prime 4 screen, for easy simultaneous four-deck mixing.

But as of Engine 2. That makes it an essential upgrade for all users who are keeping their computers up to date. The update is free to all users, and is available now. More info on the Engine DJ website.

No warning from yamaha on their plan to do this. Probably to trap a few more splurgers. I admit the hardware is cool, but it aint worth a grand if there is an exact copy in emulation for bucks. The internet is awesome for finding answers to problems like this. Yamaha or iTunes will not sell me this in the US. I will just move to the UK. The app did however encourage a new firmware update and the fulfillment of the original design idea of collaborative sessions.
