I did. Read full review. I was always curious about "Portal" game in the Orange Box. Portal had received a lot of recognition from critics and game reviewers. I started "Portal" expecting greatness I have to say that the game delivered completely, and actually exceeded my expectations. As amazing as Portal it is, it is also short. I was able to beat the whole game in about 4 hours. But it was some of the most enjoyable 4 hours I ever spent playing a video game. The concept is simple you get 1 cool gun called 'the portal gun'.
It is able to shot 2 portals. These two portals will instantly be connected to each other. So if you shoot a portal at the ceiling and another portal right at your feet you'll end up falling into a portal and seemingly come out of the ceiling and fall again into the floor in an endless lo op. As you'll fall you will actually continue to accelerate because things such as speed and momentum of your character are conserved as you enter the portal.
The game is brilliantly written and witty. You get a seemingly omnipresent robotic voice promising you cake if you comply and proceed through the different tests. Later in the game it becomes apparent that the whole 'cake thing' is a lie and that the computer is insane. There are tiny robots in the game with machine guns.
They try to fatally shot you, and than they'd innocently ask you, "are you still there? I was stuck on some of the later puzzles for a bit, but overall the game offered a super satisfying and unique gaming experience. What is there to say about Portal?
Plenty, and yet so little. Overall this is wonderful game, beautiful in it's design and original in it's gameplay. Filled with humor, suspense and interesting puzzles, this game is a must buy. It's only downside? It's length. It's not a horribly long game, as it's story mode can be completed in one or two sittings. Hi , i wanna 1 key for Protal. User was banned for this post.
